For an immediate threat to life, serious injury or suspected poisoning in Slovenia, call 112. The operator coordinates the appropriate emergency response.
Suspected poisoning
Do not wait for symptoms and do not induce vomiting unless a healthcare professional tells you to. Move away from fumes if it is safe, rinse exposed skin or eyes with clean water, and keep the medicine pack, chemical label or a photo of it. Tell the operator what was involved, approximately how much, when exposure happened, and the person's age and symptoms.
NIJZ likewise directs the public to 112 when poisoning is suspected. A pharmacist can answer non-urgent medicine questions, but a pharmacy is not a substitute for emergency assessment.
