Slovakia's eRecept records a prescription electronically in the national system run by the National Centre for Health Information (NCZI). The prescriber issues the prescription identifier and the pharmacy retrieves it together with the patient's data through the eZdravie system.
Bring identification and the prescription identifier — the eRecept number or the reminder supplied by the doctor. Some medicines and cases (for example narcotics and psychotropic substances) follow special rules.
If the system is unavailable, follow the pharmacist's instructions. Do not assume that an old package or paper reminder can replace a valid current prescription.
