Serbia uses electronic prescriptions for medicines prescribed through the public health system. The prescription is recorded against the patient's health-insurance identity and retrieved by a connected pharmacy.

Bring the health card or identification currently required for access. The prescription contains the authorised medicine, directions and validity information; repeat therapy follows the prescriber's schedule. Private, special-control or exceptional prescriptions may require additional documentation.

If the system is unavailable, ask the pharmacist which fallback is legally possible and contact the prescriber when needed. A medicine package, old report or photograph does not by itself replace a valid prescription.
