North Macedonia connects prescribing and dispensing through its integrated electronic health infrastructure. A prescription entered by an authorised clinician can be retrieved by a connected pharmacy using the patient's health-system record.
Bring the health card or identification currently required by the Health Insurance Fund. Special-control, private or exceptional prescriptions may involve additional documentation. Follow the validity and repeat-supply instructions attached to the prescription.
If the system cannot be reached, ask the pharmacist what fallback is permitted and contact the prescriber if necessary. Do not rely on an old package or photograph as a replacement for a valid prescription.
